“Mali” actor Tonie Mwangi stirs up “Majaribu”

Review by James Maina

Tonie Mwangi as Fidel Miti

Tonie Mwangi has been in Mali, Kona, and short films like Women of Obiero, Fallen Hero and Hospital. In addition, he has explored his comedic talent with the show Trade Centre.

Tonie Mwangi plays Fidel Miti on Majaribu. For Fidel, family comes first – which is why he works so much. He takes care of his people, and has always been the responsible younger brother. He feels guilt that he was the favourite, although he couldn’t control what his father did for him. At some point, Fidel will have to learn that family is not just blood – family is chosen.
