24. SENSE 8

Review by Camie Gitari

Eight Strangers

Eight strangers around the globe find themselves connected — first by a violent vision, then by their shared ability to connect with one another’s thoughts and actions, and finally by the urgent need to find out what happened and why. Their need to know goes beyond simple curiosity — as they pursue answers, a mysterious organization hunts them down, intent on destroying them.

1.Capheus (Aml Ameen), a compassionate matatu van driver in Nairobi with a strong sense of justice who is desperately trying to earn money to buy medicine for his mother, who is dying of AIDS. He enjoys Jean-Claude Van Damme’s work and has even named his van ‘Van Damn’ after him.
2.Sun Bak (Bae Doona), daughter of a powerful Seoul businessman. A burgeoning star in the underground kickboxing world with a master’s degree in economics.
3. Nomi Marks(Jamie Clayton), a trans woman and hacktivist living in San Francisco, who has a girlfriend named Amanita.
4. Kala Dandekar(Tina Desai), a university-educated pharmacist and devout Hindu in Mumbai engaged to marry a man she does not love.
5.Riley Blue (Tuppence Middleton) , an Icelandic DJ with a troubled past that made her run away to London.
6. Wolfgang Bogdanow (Max Riemelt), a Berlin locksmith and safe-cracker from East Germany, who has unresolved issues with his late father and participates in organized crime.
7. Lito Rodriguez (Miguel Ángel Silvestre), a closeted Mexican actor, whose father is from Bilbao, Spain, living in Mexico City.
8. Will Gorski (Brian J. Smith), a Chicago police officer haunted by an unsolved murder from his childhood.

Three words for this series Oh My God!! I have never seen anything soo captivating (given an episode runs for 52 mins to an hour) as this. You keep waiting for the boring part but it just gets better and better..the emotion put into it is just indescribable..

Season 1 is Complete with 12 episodes..Enjoy
