“You cannot open your eyes,do you understand?” The art of opening your eyes when distinctly asked not to is a basic human instinct, but what if doing just that might kill you???
When a mysterious force decimates the population, only one thing is certain — if you see it, you die. The survivors must now avoid coming face to face with an entity that takes the form of their worst fears. Searching for hope and a new beginning, a woman and her children embark on a dangerous journey through the woods and down a river to find the one place that may offer sanctuary. To make it, they’ll have to cover their eyes from the evil that chases them — and complete the trip blindfolded.
Oh Sandra Bullock, when will you ever act in something and look bad? This woman has had a fantastic year, from her stunning lead role in Ocean’s 8 and now this amazing masterpiece.
I am all for the different theories through which the world might come to an end but let me just say that this was the best one yet.its a little like Spectral but this time round you cannot understand what the inanimate ‘thing’ that is leading to mass suicides worldwide is all about. If you dare open your eyes and look at it; for some, their worst nightmares come to be, for others, their late loved ones appear to be luring them to death and for those who embrace this ‘thing’, they go out to ‘preach’ of its greatness to others and encourage them to let the darkness in. you can never really see the ‘thing’ on screen, only a big whirlwind that stands still once it reaches its prey, then in what feels like seconds,a character walks towards traffic, pulls the trigger or stab them self.
You will love the two babies who for the most part are referred to as ‘boy’ and ‘girl’. They bring the whole thing together and have you wondering what kind of world they’ll have to live in with this ‘thing’ being everywhere.
Ratings; 6.8/10…its a 8.5 for me

Sequel; i hope so, we need to figure out what the ‘thing’ is and how to kill it.
