Drums, Lights, Movies, TV, Oprah, Applause! Here are the winners of the Golden Globe Awards of 2018

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri
This R-rated movie won the Best Motion Picture – Drama category. It is about a woman irked by a tragedy who decides to publicise it via a billboard. From such darkness comes good witty humour to round up an easily watchable and funny comedy of a movie, even though the main point is a pretty serious subject.

“Lady Bird”
She – Marion McPherson, a California nurse – who has a teenage daughter with a self title. She gave herself the name lady bird in quotes because “I gave it to myself, i’ts given to me by me”. A movie about a family in crisis with a crisis teenager  – a perfect storm.

Gary Oldman as Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama “Darkest Hour”
Wiston Churchill once said “You cannot reason with a tiger when your head is in its mouth!” in reference to dealing with dictators like Hitler. This is arguably the best representation of Wiston Churchill we will ever see – a man beseiged politically who stands up and says he will not surrender and will take full responsibility – and accountability – for not doing so. A remarkable must watch movie.

The Shape of Water
Guillermo del Toro wins the Best Director for this captivating masterpriece of a science fiction story involving a mute single lady who works as a cleaner in a secret lab that hosts a creature in a water tank. If you thought love is said by words, you are wrong, and even more so when its between a human and a ….
