I’ve always loved doppelgangers, but to be both in one is just freaking awesome. Its set in the 1930s and yes, that ought to be a real ‘turn off’ if you may, but you’ll barely notice. The diversity in the supernatural creatures, the rush that overtakes you when Hyde shows up, the hunters…”it takes a monster to hunt a monster”…i can assure you,you won’t be disappointed.
Since he was a boy,Robert Jekyll has always had a condition that made his foster parents seclude him from the rest of society while keeping it under control with meds concorted by his foster father. A recent event(Lifting a truck with his bare hands to save a young girl caught under it in an accident) and a letter has him curious on finding out about his biological parents and escape the clasp of his overprotective foster ones. This has him traveling to London with a plan to track down the person who sent the letter and start from there. If he could’ve known better,he could’ve just been satisfied with the life he had before and never left.
As he begins to feel himself coming under the power of a darkness he cannot control, he realizes that all this time his parents were protecting him from his true self, Hyde, a shadowy, brooding figure of incredible strength and agility; confident and fearless. Jekyll has inherited the curse of his grandfather, and when angered or in danger he undertakes this graphic and twisted transformation. As he tries to discover his past and search for a cure, he is drawn deeper into Hyde’s world..
