  • Leonardo Dicaprio won Best Actor in the Revenant
  • Brie Larson won Best Actress for her performance in The Danish Girl
  • Mark Rylance won Best Supporting Actor in Bridge of Spies
  • Alejandro Gonzalez won Best Director for the Revenant
  • Best Original song was Spectre soundtrack, Writting on the Wall by Sam Smith.
  • Son of Saul was voted Best Foreign Film.
  • The Big Short won Best Wrting Adapted Screenplay
  • Spotlight won best original screenplay
  • Best Documentary was won by Amy
  • Inside Out was the Best Animated Feature Film
  • Emmanuel Lubesky won Best Cinematography for work in The Revenant
  • The Hateful Eight won Best Original Score.
  • Mad Max Fury Road won Best Costume Design
  • Best Visual Effects went to Ex Machina
  • Stutterer won Best Short Film
  • Greg Rudolf won Best Soundmixing for work in Mad Max Fury Road
  • A Girl in the River: the price of forgiveness won for Best Documentary Short Film

The highlight of the night was definitely Leonardo Di Caprio winning best Actor as was widely anticipated. He made a great speech on climate change and how difficult it was to find a snowy location to shoot The Revenant as a testament to climate change.
